1. What if I can’t find the private water taxi or Views on Venice (VOV) representative on arrival?

Please do not hesitate to call us on the phone numbers provided in our e-mail correspondence.

  2. What if I have an issue during my stay?

Do not hesitate to call us! Our local team are available from 9am – 6pm from Monday to Friday, and can be reached on (0039) 041 2411149.

Outside of these times you will still be able to reach us on VOV’s dedicated 24-hour emergency mobile tel. number which we’ll give to you by e-mail and when checking in – we’ll be delighted to assist with any pressing queries or concerns that you may have, big or small, day or night.

  3. What will I pay at the check-in?

Upon arrival you will be required to pay the Venice Tourist Tax and our team member will process the Security Deposit pre-authorisation on your credit card. Note that after 20:00 there is a late arrival fee which, if applicable, is also payable at check-in.

  4. Why should I pay a late arrival fee?

Because it requires our team member to be available outside their standard working hours.

  5. Why can’t I self check in?

Venice is a wonderful place but finding your way around can sometimes be confusing and also we care about showing you the ins and outs of the apartment and explaining how everything works. And besides, we love meeting you in person and being there for you to address any queries or special requests you may have at the time.

  6. Can I get to the apartment by private water taxi?

Yes, arriving and departing by private water taxi is the most convenient way to travel as the driver will be able to drop you and your luggage off on arrival / pick you and your lugguge up on departure as close to your apartment as possible. You can book a water taxi or simply enquire about rates by contacting our office.

  7. Are the heating and air-conditioning always available at the apartment?

There are air-conditioning and heating regulations in Venice which are set by the Venice Municipality with official cut-off dates for their use in certain buildings within the city as a measure designed to reduce energy consumption.. The specific 2022/2023 dates for the use of heating are from the 22 October – 15 April (air-conditioning is not generally required or permitted during this period).

  8. Can I leave my luggage at the apartment after check-out?

Leaving your luggage at the property later than 11am is not usually possible, but if you contact our office we can offer you some practical alternatives.

  9. What will I find in the apartment on my arrival?

We will provide you with some basic household essentials including soap, toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets and bin/trash bags etc., to help you through your first few days until you find your feet. If there is anything else you are interested in, please let us know, we’re happy to reach out to our network of suppliers and to organise it for you.

  10. Why do guests have to take care of the rubbish/trash?

Waste collection has always been very difficult in Venice, because of its unique layout, canals and narrow pedestrian alleyways. While staying in your holiday apartment, you will need to follow the city’s rules for recyclables and rubbish/trash disposal which we’ll provide you with at check-in. These rules are important in ensuring the city runs efficiently and are part and parcel of daily life in Venice. We thank you for playing your part.
