As you may have heard on the news or in the recent press Venice will be introducing a daily entrance fee for day trippers again in 2025, adding more weekends and Fridays.

In 2025 it will be applied on these dates:

  • April 18-30
  • May 1-4
  • May 9-11
  • May 16-18
  • May 23-25
  • May 30-31
  • June 1-2
  • June 6-8
  • June 13-15
  • June 20-22
  • June 27-29
  • July 4-6
  • July 11-13
  • July 18-20
  • July 25-27

The fee is charged for day visits between 8.30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Also this year the city has exempted the fee for those traveling to most of the lagoon islands, including Murano, Burano, Torcello and the Lido. Also people transiting through Piazzale Roma, Tronchetto or the Stazione will be exempt.

As last year, all our guests with a confirmed Views on Venice / Dimora Italia reservation will pay the Venice Tourist Tax directly to us upon arrival at the apartment and will NOT have to pay this daily entrance fee.

However, they will still need to REGISTER ONLINE with the VENICE CITY COUNCIL for an EXEMPTION PASS (in the form of a QR code) to prove that they do not have to pay the daily entrance fee.

The website on which to pay ot to register for the Exemption Pass is the same of last year: https://cda.ve.it/en/ but at this moment the registration is still not available.

Things can still change, so keep up-to-date if you are planning to come to Venice next Spring!
