La Baruffa with Private Garden

A ‘giardino segreto’ (secret garden) situated between the Guggenheim Collection and the glinting waters of the Zattere promenade. Furnished with wooden sun-loungers for reclining al fresco, plus ample garden seating and a dining suite beneath a lantern-lit pergola of vines, it’s outdoor living at its loveliest!

La Baruffa is truly beautiful. We have rented many apartments and villas around the world and although this is relatively compact, it is without doubt one of the most beautifully styled and well thought through. The secret garden was a delight – and makes La Baruffa ideal for families with children. And the location could not have been more perfect – so peaceful, yet just a few hundred metres from the Zattere.

Ca’ Minore Secret Garden

Ca' Minore Secret Garden

A short stroll to the Church of the Salute and to the Punta Della Dogana Center of Contemporary Art at Dorsoduro’s eastern tip, the garden of Ca’ Minore is home to climbing plants and raised flower beds set beside castellated walls of terracotta brickwork, for magical al fresco dining beneath the stars.

A very special property in a brilliant location with a very high standard of stylish furnishings and well considered accomodation, the outdoor terraces and gardens were exceptional allowing meals in the sunshine! Cannot wait to return.

Isola di Santa Cristina

last but no least…
Isola di Santa Cristina, an exquisite luxury private island hidden away in the Venetian Lagoon between the city of Venice and the Adriatic Sea, its sleek skippered boat is at your disposal to whisk you away to the glories of Venice, or carry you with ease to discover the lagoon.

Isola Santa Cristina was unbelievable. René and Sandra have done a truly wonderful remodeling of the house on the island, which has a history going further back than the XIIIth century. With 14 people, we did not even use all the rooms. Everything works and it is great to be close to Venice, Murano, Burano, Torcello and the mainland, but at the same being far from the madding crowd, and is excellent for the the children to have fun when they were on the island – a must! The views are spectacular, specially the sunrises, sunsets and views of the Dolomites.
